Mary-Rose MacColl will give the Opening Address on the the writing process, "How hard it is to write no matter where you are on the journey, yet how rewarding". Lighthearted, a bit serious.

Angela Slatter - Short Stories and Horror. Angela will be talking about the psychology of horror writing and how to scare the pants off your readers.

Nigel Munro-Wallis - Playwright.  What makes a good play? Is it foremost characterisation, plot, or dialogue. Are all three of equal importance? When is it time to stop tweaking your work? When is enough, enough?
